Hatha & Restorative Yoga,

Embodied through Somatic Practice.

Hello! I'm Nicola. I run small, beginner friendly yoga classes at the beautiful Yurt in Charfield (GL12 8ES) & other, small, local venues, offering space to stretch out, relax & unwind. Come along for some feel good yoga!

Hatha Yoga is a slow, focused practise combining traditional postures and breathing techniques, both working together to encourage balance and harmony in both body and mind. In Sanskrit 'Ha' means Sun and 'Tha' means Moon, Combined, 'Hatha' translates as 'energy' or 'life force'. 

Restorative Yoga is simply bliss! Deeply relaxing postures to encourage rest and relaxation. 
 

Somatic Movement 

My sessions naturally lean towards a more somatic practice, exploring how the movements ‘feel’ rather than how they look! Soma comes from a word meaning ‘body’ in Greek, so somatic translates as ‘of the body’. With this in mind, I encourage you to come as you are, to adapt postures to fit your body’s needs and to move in a way that helps you to feel good.

Tucked away behind 'Rio Pools' it can be a bit of an adventure to find! Drive though the gate and round to the left of Rio Pools. Here you'll find a large metal, sliding gate. Once there, drive up to it and give me a call or send me a text and all will be revealed! (Plenty of parking beyond the gate!).

Gibson Studios, The Sunday School Rooms, Kingswood, Wotton Under Edge, GL12 8RT.

Locals will know this lovely gym well! At the centre of the village it's easy to spot. Sessions take place up stairs.
